They say it takes a village to raise a child. In Canada's largest city, that village needs people like you.
We run free after-school programs for girls and young women ages 7 to 17 rooted in civic engagement, academics, STEM, mentorship, and wellbeing. Many of our girls are growing up in single-parent households. Many are the daughters of immigrant parents or racialized communities, navigating a world that was never designed with them in mind, without a third space that's truly theirs.
We believe their power is already inside them. Our job—and yours—is to create the conditions, the relationships, and the safe space where they can discover it for themselves.
That's what The Neighbourhood does. And it only works because of neighbours like you.
