CIBC x JAC STEM Scholarship
Can I apply for this scholarship even if I'm not studying a STEM subject OR I'm already enrolled in a college/university program prior to September 2025?
Unfortunately, the CIBC scholarship is only open to young women entering their first year in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math program at college or university in September 2025.
What if I'm not able to attend all sessions of the program(s) I signed up for?
To qualify for the scholarship, you must attend a minimum of eight 1.5 hour sessions of programming between March 24 and June 20. This can be a combination of six-week programs or individual workshops. See our registration page for the current programs that are available. New workshops will be added, so check back often!
What information needs to be included in the application letter?
In June, we will reach out to eligible participants requesting the letter. The letter should express your goals and aspirations for your degree and how this scholarship will help you. Also please include how you felt about your experience at the Jean Augustine Centre and what you will take with you from being part of this community.
If I'm awarded the scholarship, when can I expect to be notified?
If you're selected as the recipient of the scholarship, you will be notified within 4-6 weeks of the end of the second spring session on June 20.
How many STEM scholarships are available?
Only one STEM scholarship is available.
